Iti, from Itaú, offers free physical and virtual card for digital account

Credit Card

Iti, itaú’s digital wallet, won a virtual card to make purchases with the account balance. And now in October, it will be possible to request a physical Visa Platinum card with NFC for on-the-fly payments: it will come with Braille inscription for people with visual impairments, and will have a recess that makes it easy to identify the right side to insert into the machine.

Itaú released Iti’s digital card for Tecnoblog tests, which I have been using with my own money. The app’s home screen has a carousel of options, with the last one being “account card”. By tapping it, the user has the option to create a virtual prepaid, which requires a security code sent by SMS.

Once this is cleared, the app displays data to enter during site and app purchases, including recurring subscriptions, deducted from your current balance. For example, you can use your Iti account card to pay for iFood delivery, Uber races, or a Netflix subscription.

It is worth remembering that, even though the credit function is required, this is a debit transaction: that is, you cannot pay for a purchase or spend more than your available balance. (There is no credit limit or invoice to pay each month.)
